ASMF 2011
The Australian Surf Movie Festival kicks off from Feb 3 in Sydney and then tours around the rest of Australia.
Back in 2002, Tim Bonython contemplated the idea to revive the past. To go on the road and show surf movies in pubs and clubs.
With the support of Quiksilver, the idea became a reality and the ASMF is now a yearly event.
ASMF 2011 presents a multifaceted evening incorporating projects from the new “Who is J.O.B.” to the visually stimulating mosaic of Tim Bonython’s footage collected on the road during 2010, ASMF incorporates a classic roster of household surf names such as Taylor Steele, Matt Hoy, Ry Crake and Jamie O’ Brien.
