The Sydney Festival this morning released a sneak peek on what is on offer for the 2011 screenings.
Three of twelve Official Competition Films for 2011 have been revealed; the critically acclaimed adaptation of Haruki Murakami’s Norwegian Wood; award-winning Greek drama Attenberg and the highly-anticipated second feature from the director of Me and You and Everyone We Know, Miranda July’s The Future.
Festival Dates: Wednesday June 8 to Sunday June 19

It has taken me some time to kickstart the New Year! But what a great way to start my updates for 2011 with the Chinese Film Festival - Sydney. The festival commences this evening with the Opening Ceremony and Golden Koala Award evening.
The festival runs until the 14 Feb at Event Cinmeas in George Street.

Entries for the 7th Mudgee International Short Film Festival 2011
are now open. Screening every year on the 3rd weekend of March in the picturesque NSW central ranges town of Mudgee, Mudfest is renown for showcasing some of the best short films from around the globe and is the ideal place for new and seasoned filmakers alike to display their work.
Finalists are selected from the entries submitted. Every year over 500 films from every corner of the earth are submitted to Mudfest. Films may be any genre but must not be longer than 15mins in duration.

Dungog OOVIE Student Film Project
Dungog Film Festival have an opportunity for students to get involved in the film making process and have their work screened at the 2011 festival.
Inspired by the overwhelming response to DFF’s previous Education and Student Programs, they decided to join forces to create a dynamic opportunity for NSW high schools. Their vision is to involve teachers and students in experiential learning about filmmaking. This mentorship program will provide professional coaching for students to guide them through the filmmaking process. The finished films will premiere at the 2011 Dungog Film Festival and be exhibited via Oovie’s network
