The Yallingup Surfilm Festival will be opening entries for their 2012 festival in March 2011. Awards for the festival include Best Feature-length Film, Best Short Film and People Choice.
The Yallingup Surfilm Festival aims to inspire exploration into surf culture. They aim to create a meeting place for the wider surf culture community and to provide passionate filmmakers & artists from around the world with a forum for sharing their creativity in the exploration and celebration of surf culture.

Over The Fence - Entries Closing Soon
Over the Fence Comedy Film Festival are after entries for the 14th Festival in 2011. Based in WA, the festival tours throughout different venues in Australia.
Guidelines:
1 – any format; preview on DVD pal/ntsc 2 – Short Film, Long Short Film or Short film Series 3 – any comic genre; black, slapstick, irreverent, romantic, political, subversive, absurd … etc. 4 – any form; drama, doco, animation, experimental 5 – And must have an excellent sense of humour. Pollinate: Director’s Cut
Propel Youth Arts WA is proud to present Pollinate: Director’s Cut. This FREE forum is a chance for emerging filmmakers to ask industry heavyweights about the ins and outs of the film industry.
 A great chance to quiz Rikki Lea Bestall from ScreenWest about grant applications, Yvette Coyne from FTI about production help and direct questions about publicity to Amicko Films General Manager Amy Broadfoot, Director’s Cut is a must for those interested in a career behind the lens.
Emerging Perth Filmmakers Kenta McGrath and Tim Barretto will also sit on the panel sharing their experiences about getting a foothold in the film industry. Part of the Northbridge Festival, this 18+ only forum will be held in the Northbridge Piazza Community Cultural Room (cnr Lake and James St), followed by a screening of great local short films open to the public in the Northbridge Piazza.
